Family Centered Adolescent Care
Licensed by the Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services in 1992, the Prentice House I & III Group Homes are located in quiet residential sections of Ashland, Wisconsin. Prentice House II enjoys an agricultural setting just outside the city limits. Home to a total of twenty-four adolescent boys, each eight resident facility utilizes the on-site school at Prentice House II for those residents that display behavior contrary to being integrated into the Ashland Public School System.
Prentice House provides a structured family atmosphere allowing it's residents to address their need for emotional growth, with the goal of returning home or to a less restrictive setting.

Prentice House has demonstrated a high success rate dealing with adolescents who demonstrate a wide variety of emotional disorders. Referrals are considered who have been diagnosed with Conduct Disorders, Anti-Social Behaviors, ADD, School Phobic, Chemically Dependency issues along with adolescents considered chronically delinquent. |
While incorporating logical rewards and consequences as a guide for everyday accountability, Prentice House provides Chemical Dependency Counseling, Anger Management Counseling, Self Esteem Enhancement, Dysfunctional Family Coping and Independent Living Skills as part of their group and individual counseling programs. |
Prentice House, Inc. has been providing quality group home services for over ten years. Along with a highly-trained staff, the owners themselves provide daily direct client services. Amongst other advantages, this allows for first-hand administrative recommendations for resident future placement. The combined advantage of a "hands-on management" approach along with the many advantages of an on-grounds school, is one not found in other group home facilities in the state.
Prentice House, Inc. serves adolescent males, ages eleven through seventeen, who have come to the attention of the Courts, (Wisconsin Chapter 48), because certain behaviors have been determined to be inappropriate, illegal or unsafe. Our treatment program is based upon Family Systems philosophies, using a logical rewards and consequence response to behaviors. A professional licensed Social Worker and experienced Child Care Counselors are on staff to assure that our residents receive the best possible care and treatment.
