Employment Opportunities

Prentice House is regularly accepting applications and resumes for our full time care giver positions. We hold interviews on a regular basis to have a roster of available candidates in the event of an unanticipated or anticipated opening. We are looking for candidates who are able to professionally display decision making skills, maturity, and ability to provide structure, and maintain and establish appropriate boundaries in a group home setting for adolescent boys 11 to 17 years of age. We prefer candidates with pertinent prior education or experience, but we are willing to train the right person. We seek out candidates that are sincere and genuine in their desire to be a part of our team.

What we require for employment with Prentice House:

  • Criminal Background Check
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Three reference letters
  • Cover letter
  • Resume

Internship Program

Our internship program offers opportunities to work and develop professional skills while working with adolescent males in a group home setting. A well rounded experience can be gained in areas such as educational programming, residential programming, and therapeutic programming.

What we require for an internship:

  • Upper classman status (Jr. –Sr.)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Two reference letters
  • Background Criminal Check

What we offer interns:

  • Dynamic hands on learning experience
  • Direct supervision and evaluations
  • Meals during scheduled hours
  • Letters of recommendation (upon request)
